Millie Njeri (b. Nairobi, Kenya, 1978) combines her love of nature, love of adventure and her educational background to create images of the kind of world she imagines inhabiting.
Degrees in pharmacy and analytics fuel her search for complex and sometimes seemingly chaotic scenes in order to distill them into their most simple, symmetrical, beautiful and almost magical essence.
This search for simplicity amidst chaos and distractions mirrors her search for calm in life amid the general chaos that is called living.
Millie is an award winning photographer whose work has been included in group exhibitions at the Mystic Museum of Art and the Hygienic Art Gallery. Millie is a recipient of the RISCA Make Art Grant in 2023.Millie currently lives and works in Westerly, RhodeIsland.
