Point Judith Sunrise
It was a morning that my app predicted would have a beautiful sunrise. Now, i’ve been burned before. App says 89% chance of a beautiful sunrise, sunset, clear skies, no rain etc. and I get excited and my hoes are dashed. I though this would be one of those mornings.
A snowstorm was forecasted for 9am and sunrise was at 7am and I thought ’no way is this going to happen’, but I went anyway. When I got to the location, there were no clouds and the beginning of the sunrise was mediocre.
Right when I was going to call it quits, I saw a cloud moving quickly heading South and the sun rising right behind the lighthouse. I’d never seen anything like this before and I knew I had to get closer to the lighthouse.
I made my was on smooth uneven boulders to the front of the lighthouse and the clouds that were now right behind it seemed to catch fire as they continued on their way. I had never seen anything like it and haven’t since , but anytime I think about staying in when a beautiful sunrise is forecasted, I think of this morning.
